Permanent memorials are available in other areas of the crematorium grounds. Options include memorial plaques and granite Sanctum memorial vaults. The vaults can accommodate two sets of cremated remains and provide families with a more permanent, individually marked place of remembrance.

Families can also choose to have ashes buried within a cremation plot at one of Lincoln’s cemeteries rather than within the Garden of Remembrance.

Book of Remembrance

Unattended direct cremation

An unattended direct cremation is also available for families who do not require mourners to attend or a funeral ceremony in the chapel.

These take place early in the morning, with current times of 8.15am, 8.30am and 8.45am Monday to Thursday.

Most cremations will be arranged through a funeral director. However, the crematorium can also provide guidance to families who wish to organise a funeral without using a funeral director.
